Wavyroom Backyard Pod Launches in Canada

Wavyroom Backyard Pod Launches in Canada

March 12, 2026

Across many cities in Canada, homes are becoming increasingly expensive. Rising property values, higher construction labor costs, and more expensive materials have made even small renovations or home extensions difficult for many homeowners.

Yet our daily lives continue to ask for more space.

Some people need a quiet home office to work from home.
Families often wish for an extra playroom for children.
Others imagine a small yoga studio, a creative workspace, or a woodworking room where they can focus on their craft.

Wavyroom began with a simple idea:
what if expanding your home could be much easier?

The Wavyroom Backyard Pod is a compact 99 sq ft modular space designed to be installed in a backyard. Instead of a long construction process, the pod is designed to be assembled in about four hours, offering a simple and efficient way to create additional living space.

Its design is also permit-friendly, making it easier for homeowners to add a functional structure without the complexity of traditional construction.

Despite its modest size, the possibilities are wide.

For some, it becomes a private studio for focused work.
For others, it becomes a creative space filled with ideas.
And for families, it can simply be a place where children can play, learn, and grow.

A small structure, but one that can change how a home is used.

This spring, Wavyroom will introduce the Backyard Pod for the first time in Canada.

From March 12 to March 15, 2026, Wavyroom will be exhibiting at the BC Home + Garden Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Wavyroom Loft Version in person — a compact space designed with vertical openness that creates a surprisingly spacious feeling within a small footprint.

If you live in Vancouver, we invite you to stop by, step inside, and experience the space for yourself.

Sometimes, all it takes is one small room to change the rhythm of a home —
and perhaps make everyday life just a little more meaningful.
